Gomez Bueno: Count Yamake the First

Born in Cantabria Spain (1964),Gomez Bueno studied Fine Arts at the Universidad de Tenerife (Canary Islands)and at the Universidad Complutense (Madrid). He has lived between Los Angelesand Europe since1988.
Gomez Bueno's work has been exhibited at museums including the Museo deBellas Artes of Santander, Museo de Arte Contemporaneo of Madrid, Circulo deBellas Artes of Madrid, Centro de Arte of Tenerife, Centro de Arte LaRegenta (Las Palmas), Grand Palais of Paris, Laguna Art Museum, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (San Francisco), LACE (Los Angeles) and Chiso Museum Kyoto, as well as at a good number of commercial galleries in Spain, Belgium, France,Italy, Germany, England, Mexico and USA.
In the art world, Gomez Bueno is known for his mix of conceptual and pop projects "GB forPresident" (1992), "Padre GB" (1993) , "Classifieds"(1995), "Gallery Logos" (1997), "Gomezphonics, in Stereo"(1999) and "Coming Soon" (2006). There are three bookspublished, 25 catalogues, and he has had 30 solo shows.
Commercially, GB has created graphics and art work for Think skateboards,Joyride Snowboards, Switch Bindings, Flexible boots, Roland Shapes, City FogSurfboards and GB Snowboards. His work has been reviewed in magazines suchas Surfing, Tres60, Heckler, Thrasher, Slap, Arte y Parte, Relax, Mono, VogueNippon, Lodown, Juxtapoz, Artweek and SuperX, ABC and major newspapers aroundthe globe.
